Easy, 30 Minute Chocolate Croissants Recipe - How to Make Croissants with Store-bought Puff Pastry
We’re Adam and Joanne from inspiredtaste.netwelcome to our kitchen.
Hi guys, today we are making our chocolate croissants.
I like to call them cheater croissants, because we are starting with puff pastry dough.
We roll it out, fill it with chocolate, roll it up again and bake it. It's delicious.
It's the perfect appetizer or dessert in a pinch.
Yeah! They fly off the plate. People love them. If you didn't like chocolate, I don't know why you wouldn't).
If you don't like chocolate you could add ham and cheese, you could do jam and cream cheese
There are so many options. Whatever you love in pastries, put that in this recipe and you are going to be great.
Let's go make it!
Start with store-bought puff pastry dough.
Thaw and then carefully unfold a sheet ona floured work surface.
You can see that our dough is still littlecold — that’s why we are being really
careful when working with it.
Grab a rolling pin and roll out to a largesquare — about 16-inches across.
We like to measure to make sure we aren'ttoo far off.
A ruler makes your life much easier on thisone.
Use a knife or my favorite tool for this — apizza cutter.
Then cut the square into 16 small triangles.
They don’t need to be perfect, just close.
On to the chocolate — you can use whateveryou like.
We love dark chocolate, so that’s what weare using here.
Place a small mound of chocolate onto thewider end of each triangle.
Then roll it up and place seam-side down sothat the tip of the triangle is tucked underneath.
Just before placing onto a baking sheet, shapeinto a crescent.
Whisk an egg with a splash of water then brushthe tops of each croissant — this will make
the tops shiny when they are baked.
And now all you need to do is bake!
Bake them until golden brown.
And that’s it, quick and easy croissantsfilled with warm chocolate.
Enjoy!

For the full 30 Minute Chocolate Croissants Recipe with ingredient amounts and instructions, please visit our recipe page on Inspired Taste: http://www.inspiredtaste.net/20300/sinfully-easy-chocolate-croissant-recipe/ These mini croissants are sinfully easy to make. We use a store-bought puff pastry sheet instead of making our own croissant dough at home. The puff pastry sheet needs to be thawed before using. So, either place into the refrigerator and leave overnight or remove and thaw at room temperature for 40 to 50 minutes. Once the puff pastry has thawed, all you need is 30 minutes to make the croissants. Leave them plain, add chocolate or another favorite filling. These are mini croissants, so when making, assume each person will eat two. The original recipe for chocolate croissants was sponsored, however this video was added later and was not sponsored.
